Introduction to The Brief Manifesto

 Introduction to The Brief Manifesto

The contents of this blog will discuses different aspects of Communisms throughout Europe and Asia, however the large focus will be on the U.S.S.R. as well as Yugoslavia. The posts will cover a large array of time frames from the early dawning of Communism up to modern day. Now it should be said that this blog is in no way aiming to glorify or excuse crimes committed under Communist rule, nor is this blog aiming to present Communism through a bloated light of self righteousness. This blog aims to tell details and history of Communism through a non-bias lens.

Through out this blog we will discuses the rise and fall of various Communist states. I aim to help bring light to the suffering of the common people that Communism brought to them. We will also discuses various wars fought during these times including local uprisings to remove Communism and large scale demonstrations, these will include but will not be limited to, The Prague Spring, The January Events in Lithuania, The Soviet Afghan War, The Anti-Soviet Movements in Ukraine (1944-1960), and Poland's Solidarity Movement.

We will also discuses Soviet scandals, coverups, and misuses of power including The Chernobyl Incident, The Nazino Tragedy, The Kyshtym Disaster, The Holodomor, as well as mishandling of the Soviet economy.

Some of the topics covered here will be very heavy and hard to read, however I feel it important to express the detailed horrific events carried out by Communist powers in order to thoroughly express the suffering of the people who had to live through them.
